Job Description
Description General Information: Looking for a highly motivated engineer to join our experienced engineering team supporting the transformer repair and service in Canada. You will be performing transformer electrical and mechanical design and helping the manufacturing process in the shop. In this position you will be in Stoney Creek, ON and will be reporting to engineering manager. Responsibilities:
- Review customer specifications and complete transformer electrical design.
- Prepare drawings for transformer components manufacturing (windings, cleats and leads, ... etc).
- Develop detailed material / parts list for transformer projects (cleats & leads, controls, and accessories).
- Provide drawing binders and technical support to shop and participate in transformer inspections.
- Inspect transformers in the shop and prepare reports.
- Provide technical support to Hitachi service team.
- Work closely with purchasing for material parts planning and purchase.
- Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years of related Transformer design experience
- Transformer factory or transformer service experience
- Mechanical design (CAD)
- Proficient with computer and software-MS Office
- Demonstrated self-starter with effective planning, organization, and prioritization skills
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills.
