Job Description

We are supporting an established consulting engineering firm in Oakville, Ontario, in their search for an energetic and dynamic Electrical Transportation Engineer to join their growing Transportation department. This is a full-time, on-site role focused on the design and review of Electrical Traffic Signals and Roadway Lighting projects.

Responsibilities:

• Design and review electrical systems for transportation infrastructure, including traffic signals and roadway lighting.
• Ensure compliance with standards set by the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario (MTO) and/or local municipalities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality project outcomes.
• Utilize AutoCAD and, where applicable, MicroStation, to create and review technical designs.
• Conduct field assessments and provide technical expertise to support project needs.

Qualifications:

• Comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems, including power distribution and lighting.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory; knowledge of MicroStation is considered an asset.
• Strong computer skills with the ability to adapt to industry-specific software.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
• Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for field-related tasks.
