The Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technologist, specializing in the inspection and design of electrical systems, to join our dynamic team. Our projects encompass new construction, renewals, energy consulting, and one-off inspections across mechanical, electrical, envelope, and civil work.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct detailed electrical system inspections and produce comprehensive electrical planning reports, with a focus on future needs like HVAC upgrades and EV charging infrastructure. Perform calculations, inspections, and assessments of existing electrical systems. Participate in multidisciplinary teams to prepare Energy Audits and Depreciation Reports. Design and layout electrical systems with an emphasis on practical, code-compliant solutions. Estimate costs for electrical upgrades in multi-family complexes. Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other technologists to deliver tailored solutions for buildings.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution. Registered, or eligible for registration, as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with EGBC, or ASTTBC registration. 1-2 years work experience in electrical design or consulting. Knowledge of CEC 2024, BC electrical permitting processes, and relevant municipal bylaws. Strong interest in building science and systems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar software is an asset. Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for site visits is an asset.

In compliance with the B.C. Pay Transparency Act, the expected salary range for this position is between $60,000 and $75,000. Multiple factors such as qualifications, overall experience and position responsibilities will be used to determine the successful candidates actual salary within the expected range.
