Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Technologist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in engineering and technology, with experience in project management and a passion for innovation. As a Technologist, you will play a crucial role in supporting various projects across multiple sectors, including manufacturing, construction, and oil & gas. Your expertise will contribute to product development, system design, and the implementation of efficient processes.

Duties

Collaborate with engineers and project managers to develop and implement technical solutions. Utilize AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, and MicroStation for drafting and design tasks. Conduct analysis and debugging of systems using Python, MATLAB, or similar programming languages. Assist in the preparation of project documentation and presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Office Suite. Perform construction inspections to ensure compliance with specifications and standards. Engage in lean manufacturing practices to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. Provide technical support for programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation systems. Maintain organized records of project progress, schedules, and documentation. Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.

Qualifications

Proficiency in English; bilingual candidates with French are highly desirable. Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in mechanical engineering principles. Familiarity with project management tools such as Microsoft Project. Experience in manufacturing processes and construction methodologies. Knowledge of electrical engineering concepts is a plus. Competence in CAD software including SolidWorks for design tasks. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong analytical skills with a solid foundation in math for problem-solving tasks. Effective communication skills for collaboration within teams and presentations to stakeholders. Previous laboratory experience or involvement in product development is beneficial.
