About the role:
Electrical Technicians (Sub-Assembly) have a wide variety of activity in their everyday work. We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic, skilled manufacturing individuals who have a passion for hands-on work producing quality products in a time-sensitive environment.
The successful candidates will be assembling electrical sub-components and systems used in the manufacture of wheelchair-accessible vehicle conversions, ambulances, and patient transfer vehicles, and may also contribute to other specialized vehicle assemblies, as assigned. The Electrical Sub-Assembly area offers a variety of hands-on tasks, suitable for both entry-level candidates and those with prior electrical assembly experience. Opportunities for growth within the electrical department may be available for motivated individuals. Job specific training will be provided.
Skill Requirements:
Attention to detail to accurately follow work instructions, work orders, diagrams and written instructions in English.
Capable of safely using a variety of hand and power tools (minimum requirement)
Manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination to operate hand and power tools
The agility to work in confined spaces in vans
Work may involve standing, bending, reaching, crouching, kneeling, lifting and overhead installations in vans
Good interpersonal skills and a customer-focused approach to problem solving
The enthusiasm to work in a fast paced, dynamic production environment
CSA approved safety footwear
Some basic tools required
Must have very good oral and written communications skills in English
French speaking capability an asset but is not required
Starting wage at $18.50/hr. $19.25 per hour upon successful completion of six-month assessment. However, based on the company's pay philosophy, previously acquired knowledge, skills and abilities can be compensated above these amounts listed.
