We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Technician will be responsible for wiring, assembling, installing, and troubleshooting automated equipment and industrial control panels. This role involves working with multiple voltage levels, robotics, safety circuits, vision systems, and networked I/O systems. You will work closely with engineering, controls, and mechanical teams to bring new automation systems from concept to completion.
This is a fast-paced, hands-on environment ideal for someone with strong electrical fundamentals, previous automation or panel-wiring experience, and a desire to continue learning.
Responsibilities
Build, wire, and terminate industrial control panels according to schematics and layout drawings
Assist with control panel layout and enclosure configuration
Work with industrial voltages: 3-phase and single-phase: 600VAC, 480VAC, 240VAC, 120VAC, and 24VDC control systems
Install, route, and terminate wiring in automated machines including transformers, robot controllers (FANUC, ABB, etc.), VFDs, servo drives, and weld generators
Install and wire PLCs (Rockwell, Omron, Siemens, etc), I/O distribution systems and vision systems
Wire and validate safety circuits including safety relays, safety PLCs, light curtains, E-stops, and interlocks
Ensure all work meets
CEC
, customer standards, and internal quality requirements
Collaborate with controls engineers during machine debug and commissioning
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Requirements
Diploma in Robotics & Automation, Electrical Engineering Technician, Electromechanical, or equivalent industry experience
Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
Experience in automation or robotic production lines
Panel-building experience from layout to final wiring
Knowledge of robotics, servo systems, or machine vision
Working at Heights, lockout/tagout, or health & safety certifications
Hands-on experience wiring control panels or industrial automation equipment
Strong problem-solving skills and understanding of electrical systems, industrial controls, and machine wiring practices
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
Understanding of VFDs, servos, sensors, robotic controllers, and basic industrial networks
High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Must provide own hand tools
Reliable, eager to learn, and comfortable asking questions
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed
Knowledge of
CEC/OESC
, ESA requirements, and industrial safety standards

Pay: $20.00-$36.00 per hour
