We are looking for an Electrical Supervisor \xe2\x80\x93 Power Distribution to provide technical support and fill in for the shift Supervisors (as required) for the transmission and distribution of approximately 250 MW of electrical power. When filling in for the Supervision role, this position will be the power authority on site and responsible for direct supervision of a team of Electricians and Linespersons for work direction and execution of the work plan. The role is based in Labrador City, NL

Reporting to the Senior Supervisor and working in an exciting and unique environment within the Iron Ore Company of Canada, you will be:
Support Maintenance planning for high voltage and medium voltage assets
Identify and evaluate operating problems and assist in determining long term/short term solutions, this includes diagnosing system failures
Resolve issues and roadblocks that hinder positive changes
Other duties as assigned, based on operational needs and based on employee competencies and training
When in the Supervisory role, this position will be the power authority for the power grid, sign off on switching orders, review requests for clearance permits, and giving work direction to a team of electricians and line technicians.

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll bring
Post-secondary education in the electrical field
Minimal of 5 years supervision experience
Minimal of 2 years in a maintenance role
Knowledge of 4160 V systems and higher
Good communication and computer skills
