Job Description

The Electrical Service Attendant performs preventive maintenance and minor repairs of electrical equipment throughout the site to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operation of electrical equipment.

What will you be doing!

• Inspect and service electrical equipment (eg light bulb replacement, greasing of electric motors by oiling, greasing and associated tasks involved with preventive maintenance. Dispose of used materials in compliance with CNL requirements.
• Assist tradespersons when required.
• Document maintenance activities by completing all pertinent paper work such as Avantis job cards to ensure that an accurate maintenance history is available for review and or audit purposes.
• Responsible for maintaining tools and equipment provided to the electricians to ensure they are in good working order and returned to their respective tool cribs or storage area in a timely manner.
• Maintain good housekeeping practices of all work areas, tools and equipment, adhering to provincial, federal and CNL regulations in order to provide a safe and efficient working environment.
• Attend monthly safety meetings and immediately report any safety concerns and/or infractions.

• Apply Event Free Tools and Pre-Job Brief information throughout the execution of assigned work and models this behavior and knowledge to other.

What we are looking for;

• Secondary school graduation diploma and one (1) year of related electrical experience.
• Knowledge of electrical equipment and associated systems in order to efficiently address service and maintenance issues as they arise.
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings specific in order to have a thorough understanding of the scope of the job in question.
• Written and verbal communication skills to be able to work in multi-trade groups and communicate with CNL staff across a broad range of disciplines.
• Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, United States and/or the United Kingdom.
