This full-time, permanent role is ideal for someone who enjoys managing materials, vendor relationships, and the full purchasing-to-receiving cycle. You will play a critical role in ensuring our electricians and project managers have the correct materials on time, at the right price, and accurately received into our systems.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Purchasing & Procurement:

Source, price, and purchase electrical materials, components, tools, and equipment for all electrical projects and service work. Obtain competitive vendor quotes, evaluate pricing, lead times, product quality, and availability. Create purchase orders and ensure accuracy of quantities, pricing, and job allocation. Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, wholesalers, and manufacturers to secure preferred pricing and reliable delivery timelines. Review job scopes, drawings, and work orders to determine material requirements ahead of schedule.
Receiving & Inventory Coordination:

Receive, verify, and inspect incoming materials, ensuring accuracy against purchase orders and packing slips. Document and communicate any discrepancies or damaged items and coordinate timely replacements or credits with vendors. Organize incoming stock and coordinate distribution to shop, service trucks, or job sites. Assist with managing inventory levels for common materials, consumables, and stocked electrical components. Maintain accurate record-keeping for all received materials, including job costing and inventory adjustments.
Project Coordination & Job Cost Tracking:

Work closely with project managers and electricians to forecast material needs. Allocate purchased and received materials to the correct work order or job to maintain accurate job costing. Support estimating and quoting by providing updated pricing and insights on material availability. Help maintain project timelines by ensuring materials arrive when required and communicating any potential delays.
General Support:

Assist with invoice verification and resolve any variances between vendor invoices and purchase orders. Provide general procurement support to the electrical department and contribute to process improvements. Perform additional related duties as assigned. Do or assist in take out ESA inspections and coordinate with utilities

Qualifications Include:

The ideal candidate will have:

At least 2 years of experience in purchasing, receiving, or procurement, ideally in the electrical or construction field. Knowledge of electrical materials, components, and terminology (or strong willingness/aptitude to learn). Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment. Experience with field service management or inventory software is an asset. Strong communication skills and professional relationship-building abilities. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a cohesive team.
