Position Overview

We are currently seeking an

Electrical Project Manager / Estimator

to join our team. This role is responsible for preparing accurate electrical estimates and managing awarded projects from start to finish. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution while ensuring safety, quality, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical projects, including labour, materials, and subcontractor services. Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to develop accurate pricing. Manage awarded projects from initiation to closeout, ensuring timelines, budgets, and safety standards are met. Coordinate with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle. Lead and support project teams, providing guidance to supervisors and field staff. Prepare and submit change orders, progress claims, and close-out documentation. Proactively identify risks, resolve issues, and implement solutions to keep projects on track. Contribute to process improvements in estimating and project management.

Qualifications

Post-secondary education in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or equivalent experience. Licensed Electrician (309A or 442A) or PMP designation considered an asset. Minimum 5 years of electrical estimating and/or project management experience in construction. Strong knowledge of electrical codes, drawings, and industry standards. Proficiency with estimating/project management software (Accubid, Bluebeam, MS Project, Jonas considered an asset). Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
