We are a unionized electrical contractor, but this Estimator role is office-based and non?union, providing you with a stable, professional workspace where your technical and strategic expertise is highly valued.
Your estimating work matters. You will directly influence our bids, help shape project profitability, and play a key role in our company's continued growth.
Work across diverse, challenging projects -- commercial, industrial, institutional -- and help drive value engineering and risk-management.
We support professional development: training on estimating tools, mentoring, and career pathways into lead estimator or pre?construction roles.

What You'll Do
Interpret and analyze electrical drawings, technical specifications, and contract documents
Conduct detailed take?offs (labor, materials, equipment)
Prepare accurate, competitive cost estimates using estimating software/tools
Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors, building strong relationships to secure optimal pricing
Participate in site walks, pre?bid meetings, and risk assessments to validate assumptions
Track and respond to scope changes, value?engineer, and update estimates throughout the project lifecycle
Maintain and enhance our historical estimating database to improve future estimating accuracy
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure alignment on scope and objectives
What We're Looking For
Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical project estimating
Proven electrical background/education
Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications
Proficiency estimating software such as Accubuid, Databid, etc. experience with estimating/take?off software is a strong plus
Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and organizational ability
Strong communication and negotiation skills to clearly present and defend estimates
A mindset of continuous improvement and a commitment to building more accurate, efficient estimating practices
