Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate project cost estimates, analyzing project specifications, and collaborating with clients and internal teams to ensure successful project execution. This role requires a strong understanding of Electrical estimating processes, excellent negotiation skills, and proficiency with industry-standard software tools such as Bluebeam and Trimble's Accubid. The Estimator will play a critical role in securing new projects and maintaining competitive pricing strategies to support the company's growth.

Duties

Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction projects, including labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs. Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine scope of work and identify potential challenges or risks. Utilize Bluebeam and Accubid software to develop comprehensive bids and proposals. Collaborate with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather pricing information and negotiate terms. Analyze market trends and pricing data to ensure competitive yet profitable estimates. Assist in the development of project budgets and schedules, supporting project management teams throughout the project lifecycle. Maintain organized records of all estimating documents, correspondence, and revisions for future reference. Support business development efforts by preparing proposals for new opportunities and participating in client meetings.

Skills

Proficiency with Bluebeam & Accubid for markup and collaboration on construction drawings. Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with subcontractors and suppliers. Experience with project management principles within the construction industry. In-depth knowledge of construction estimating processes, including quantity take-offs, pricing strategies, and bid preparation. Excellent analytical skills to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately. Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and clients. Ability to work under deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Salary will be commensurate with experience & skills.
