Condus Electric Ltd. is an established electrical contractor with over 30 years serving institutional, commercial, and industrial clients across the GTA. Our project portfolio includes educational institutions, commercial properties, and industrial facilities ranging from service contracts to major installations.

The Opportunity

We're seeking an Electrical Estimator to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to learn estimating from experienced Master Electricians while working on diverse, interesting projects. We provide hands-on training in our estimating processes, takeoff methods, and pricing strategies.

You'll be involved in the full estimating cycle: reviewing drawings and specifications, developing accurate takeoffs, obtaining supplier pricing, preparing competitive bids, and supporting project handoff.

Responsibilities

Review electrical drawings, specifications, and tender documents to develop accurate estimates Prepare comprehensive cost breakdowns including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs Obtain competitive pricing from suppliers and subcontractors Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and project requirements Collaborate with operations to ensure estimates reflect constructability Track bid results and maintain historical cost data Support project managers with change order pricing and scope clarifications

Requirements

309A Certificate of Qualification OR 5th year electrical apprentice Strong computer proficiency (Outlook, Excel, PDF markup tools) Clear written and verbal communication skills Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Valid G license and access to a vehicle

Assets

Previous estimating or quantity takeoff experience Familiarity with electrical distributors and supply chain Knowledge of Ontario Electrical Safety Code Experience with institutional or commercial electrical projects Experience with Accubid, ConEst, Stack, or similar estimating software
