Position Description:
Currently, Tetranex is seeking a full-time Electrical Engineer-in-Training.
Responsibilities:
Design, specification, and procurement of electrical equipment including, but not limited to: MCCs, switchgear, VFD's, electric motors, transformers, UPS systems, heat trace systems etc.
Support the mechanical engineering group with the specification and procurement of multi-discipline process equipment packages.
Electrical studies and calculations (Electrical equipment sizing, Load lists, Arc flash/short circuit/coordination studies, Fugitive Emissions Studies).
Working with electrical designers to develop drawings such as single line diagrams, area classification layouts/details, cable schedules etc.
Involvement in the generation of construction work packages.
Field construction support.
Requirements:
0 - 5 years of relevant Electrical Engineering experience.
Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from an accredited post secondary institution.
Registered with APEGA with an EIT or P.Eng. designation.
Previous experience with power system modeling software such as SKM Power Tools or ETAP would be considered an asset.
Knowledge of relevant electrical standards (ANSI, IEEE, CSA, IEC, ATEX, etc.).
Strong work ethic, analytical and organizational skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a collaborative group environment.
Excellent English technical writing skills and attention to detail for writing and compiling professional and polished reports.
