Responsibilities:

• Undertake and oversee the design, specification, configuration, and commissioning of electrical systems and process automation equipment
• Develop and implement policies, standards, and procedures for the work performed in the department
• Assign, coordinate and review the technical work of the department or project teams
• Plant engineering and reliability engineering support for a variety of industrial and utility clients
• Power system studies; short circuit, coordination, power flow, arc flash, etc.
• Analyze potential opportunities, formulate bid strategies, and create professional proposals
• Writing and presenting technical reports
• Provide technical support to internal/external clients
• Project management
• Support professional development and learning within the team through mentorship

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Electrical Engineering or A.Sc.T., with a minimum of 7+ years of experience in an industrial setting or consulting environment.
• Eligible for registration as a professional engineer with APEGS (Association of Professional Engineers and Geosciences of Saskatchewan)
• Working knowledge of electrical protection, industrial process control and automation applications
• Proven problem-solving and analytical skills
• Possess strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
• Works effectively under time constraints, adapts to change, is able to work alone, as well as enjoys participating in a team environment
• Physical fitness test and drug and alcohol test will be required
