Terms of Employment: Full time & Permanent, 40hrs/week, 8hrs/day.

Wage: $50.67 hourly

Position Summary

The Electrical Engineer will be primarily focused on providing electrical engineering services to our clients in the biomass, small hydro, industrial, utility services, and renewable power business areas. This individual should have an extensive experience in the areas of industrial electrical and control systems and power generation. 10% travel required.

and Responsibilities:

Manage and execute small to medium sized electrical power systems projects Design, implement, and commission HV, MV, and LV (AC/DC) electrical power systems Prepare design and construction packages, equipment specifications, and bid packages Communicate with multi-disciplinary teams to identify relevant scope of work within the context of a consulting engineering environment

Skills Requirements:

To successfully fill this role, you should demonstrate following:

5+ years of experience, designing, implementing, and commissioning industrial electrical systems Electrical engineering degree and eligible for registration with EGBC Power distribution systems (MCC, BOP) experience Good understanding of design principles, codes, and standards for EIC design in Canada and the US Protection and control systems experience is preferred Engineering studies experience (grounding, short circuit, arc flash, coordination, power and load flow modelling) Grid interconnection and substation (up to 138 kV) experience is an asset Proficiency with ETAP, SKM Power Tools, and E-Plan is an asset
