POSITION OVERVIEW
We're currently searching for a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer/Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical drafting and practical expertise in using drafting software tools for electrical design and drawing preparation. This role involves creating and modifying electrical drawings, including single-line and multiple-line diagrams, such as facility electrical drawings, electrical distribution panel enclosure wiring diagrams and control panel drawings.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare and modify electrical drawings, including single-line and multiple-line diagrams, using AutoCAD Electrical and EPLAN.
Develop detailed drawings for enclosures and control panels, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
Collaborate with engineers and other team members to gather necessary information and ensure drawings meet project requirements.
Review and verify drawings for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to specifications.
Maintain and update drawing files and documentation.
Assist in the development and implementation of drafting standards and procedures.
Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members as needed.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
Proven experience (3+years) as an Electrical Engineer/Technician or similar role.
Strong understanding of electrical design principles, electrical equipment and apparatus, national electric codes and standards.
Ability to create and interpret single-line and multiple-line diagrams.
Experience with enclosure and control panel drawing preparation.
Familiarity with electrical and industrial equipment (medium and low voltage), industry standards and regulations if preferred.
Practical knowledge of control schemes and features available in commercial power inverters for utility interconnection and grid support.
Proven experience in applying various standards and guidelines in design and development of power electronic solutions.

LOCATION
Innoversa has office space in Concord, Ontario. We offer hybrid employment that supports a blend of in-office and remote work (minimum 3 days in office). With this role, there may be travel within North America.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Working conditions are normal for a professional office environment.
Working in customers laboratory and field activities are include in this role and when working in a field or lab environment, protective personal equipment or additional safety training may be required.
The role may require the ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions. Ability to sit, stand, kneel, and bend is required.
The role requires some overnight local and regional travel including once or twice per month job sites visits for project work with customers.
