As a Electrical Engineer, located in Regina, you will support an 15 month assignment at a Canola Manufacturing Facility to support the construction and commissioning. As a member of the team, you\xe2\x80\x99ll act as a liaison between engineers, our client, contractors, and stakeholders. You\'ll monitor contractor\xe2\x80\x99s operations; actively manage and document on the status of the project; and provide construction oversight. In this role, you\'ll also communicate with all members of the electrical project team, and interface with the client and contractors as you provide oversight of the electrical construction process to ensure that the construction project is safely and accurately implemented on site adhering to the requirements of the construction contract.

Your primary role will be to monitor the progress of the electrical and Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) components of construction.

Key responsibilities include:

• Evaluate the progress and quality of electrical construction activities; ensure conformance with the project\xe2\x80\x99s contract documents, including specifications and drawings.
• Monitor electrical construction activities and report on construction progress as required by the project.
• Participate in the quality assurance program for each assigned contract in concert with the Quality Assurance Manager.
• Review submittals and requests for information (RFI\xe2\x80\x99s) for conformance to contract documents. Liaise with engineering discipline leads to prepare responses.

Here\xe2\x80\x99s What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Need:

• 5+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineer in an Engineering, Environmental or Construction organization.
• 5+ years of construction experience in the construction of infrastructure projects.
• Strong working knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code.
• Strong working knowledge of contract management and client relationship management.
• Proficient in communicating with operators, design engineers, the Owner, and contractors
• Attention to detail, self motivation, and the ability to work independently with minimal direction

Ideally You Will Also Have:

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) license or other professional qualification.
