Your mission:



Ready to transform our electrical practices?


As an electrical engineer for the Whabouchi mine, you will play a key role in setting up and managing electrical systems for one of the world's largest lithium mines. Your expertise will be crucial to the success of the pre-operational phase and then to managing and optimizing the systems during the operational phase.

Your day-to-day:



Pre-operational phase and construction:



As part of the development of the Whabouchi mine, you will be responsible for designing and implementing the electrical infrastructure. Your main responsibilities will include: Coordination with the engineering firm and area managers: Work closely with the engineering firm's project engineer and area managers. Design and planning: Participate in the design and planning of electrical installations in accordance with safety and performance standards. Installation supervision: Ensuring the compliance of electrical installations (transformers, wiring, substations). Standardization of practices: Acting as a reference for standardizing the practices of electricians on site. Development of maintenance plans: Establishing and monitoring maintenance plans for installations. Technical documentation: Keep plans, installation procedures, and maintenance programs up to date.

Operational phase:



Once the mine is operational, you will manage, maintain, and optimize electrical systems to ensure business continuity. Your responsibilities will include: Electrical system maintenance: Ensure the proper functioning and preventive maintenance of electrical installations on site. Troubleshooting and problem solving: Quickly identify and resolve technical issues to avoid production interruptions. Performance optimization: Collaborate with the production team to propose solutions for continuous improvement and energy efficiency. Compliance with safety standards: Ensure that all operations comply with applicable safety standards and regulations. Documentation and updates: Document interventions and update electrical plans based on changes made.

Your qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in the mining or industrial sector. Member of the Ordre des ingenieurs du Quebec (OIQ). Experience in electrical project management, from installation to commissioning.
