This role focuses on the design, analysis, and documentation of electrical systems used in microgrids, mobile power generation, power distribution, and renewable energy equipment. The position also includes occasional on-site commissioning and troubleshooting to support project delivery.




This position is based in Houston, Texas and the successful candidate will be required to relocate.

What you will be Doing:




Designing and reviewing medium and low voltage electrical power generation, distribution, and microgrid systems. Preparing detailed electrical studies, including Short Circuit, Arc Flash, Coordination, Power System, Grounding, Load Flow, Harmonics, Fault, and Transient studies using software such as ETAP. Developing documentation such as area classifications, single-line diagrams, BOMs, and electrical system reports, as well as studies related to fugitive emissions. Creating and maintaining accurate technical documentation to support system design and operation. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide electrical engineering expertise and project support.



Your Skills and Qualifications:




Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and 5-8+ years of related experience. Minimum 5 years of experience designing medium-voltage power generation and distribution systems. Proficient in ETAP for electrical studies and modeling. Strong understanding of industry codes and standards (IEEE, NEC, NFPA, API, etc.). Hands-on experience with Power Generation Controls, Automation, and Digital Multifunction Relay programming. Skilled in developing relay logic, protection schemes, and coordination systems. Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Adaptable and eager to learn new tools, technologies, and industry best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:


Professional Engineer (PE) designation. Master's degree in a related field. Experience in oil & gas or mining industries. Background in installation, operation, or troubleshooting of industrial automation systems.
