Our Electrical Engineer is responsible for designing industrial electrical panels for Wexxar Bel product lines (IPAK, Wexxar, Belcor). In this role you will\xe2\x80\xa6

• Design electrical control panels per machine specifications and prepare the required electrical schematics and panel layout drawings
• Prepare electrical Bill of Materials (BOM) for production planning
• Select and/or size electrical components for machine control systems
• Support machine commissioning and troubleshooting electrical design or wiring issues
• Modify and finalize as-built drawings during and after machine commissioning
• Verify electrical panels are built per schematics as part of UL certification process
• Download, upload and modify PLC & HMI programs when required
• Organize and maintain electrical engineering documentation including schematics utilizing company structure and procedures
• Participate in the research and development process of new machines

Who we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for?

• You have Post-secondary degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent
• You have at least 5-10 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a similar role
• Your knowledge/ability to create schematics, wiring & layout drawings using SolidWorks Electrical is superior
• AutoCAD also preferred
• Knowledge of Industry control panel standards such as UL508A would be ideal
• Practical experience with PLC, HMI, Servo and VFD control is preferred
• Understanding of pneumatic control systems is considered an asset
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Good communication skills and ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment
• Strong English language skills required (verbal and written), strong presentation skills, with the ability to span both highly technical and non-technical audiences
• Excellent prioritization skills with minimal guidance and direction
• Ability to effectively work as part of a cross- functional and/or cross-technology team

Experience Required

• 3 - 5 years: Experience working with a pneumatic control system
• 3 - 5 years: Experience structuring a scalable programming environment for the electrical department
• 5 year(s): Create Wiring and Layout Drawings using CAD (Solidworks Electrical)
• 5 year(s): Creating Schematics

Education Preferred

• Bachelors or better in Electrical Engineering or related field
