ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES




Design and analyze collection systems for renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, and battery storage facilities. Perform load flow, short circuit, and protection coordination studies to ensure system reliability and compliance. Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and reports for collection systems and electrical designs. Support field activities by providing guidance, addressing design issues, and reviewing technical documents. Cross collaborate with various teams to integrate electrical designs into overall project development. Review manufacturer equipment drawings Ensure designs comply with national and local electrical codes (NEC, NESC, IEEE, IEC) and interconnection requirements. Prepare and review equipment specifications and procurement documents Communicate effectively with multiple teams throughout the project. Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in power systems and renewable energy integration

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)




Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, renewable engineering, or relevant field Master's Degree in Engineering with renewable energy focus a plus 3+ years of relevant experience in power systems, renewable energy, or utility-scale electrical engineering. Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification; Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred. Knowledge of electrical design software such as ETAP, PSCAD, SKM, or equivalent. Ability to work on multi-discipline projects Understanding of power distribution systems. Technical writing and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment. Knowledge of renewable energy industry relating to utility scale wind and solar projects Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook Problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills. Ability to travel up to 10%
