Matalco Inc. operates a manufacturing facility in Brampton, Ontario and is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Electrician. This role will primarily be responsible for maintaining equipment control systems throughout our casting operation.

1. Key Responsibilities:

- Recommends improvements to processes and procedures and reports all accidents, incidents, and unsafe conditions to immediate supervisor.

- Ensures 100% compliance with all safety procedures.

- Committed to delivering quality products to our customers, carries out responsibilities in accordance with Quality and Environmental policies, procedures, and objectives to produce quality work product and contribute to and promote an environmentally conscious workplace.

Recommends improvements to processes and procedures.

- Provides input into the development of necessary procedures, systems and controls to satisfy internal and external stakeholders.

- Responsible for overall reliability of electrical equipment. Provides 24/7 on call maintenance support services to the plant to ensure 100% availability of equipment capable of producing prime quality product.

- Coaches and develops employees with ongoing Performance Management to build a unified team.

Directly supervises and manages the maintenance team members, including scheduling work assignments and distributing PM's for completion.

- Implements departmental policies and procedures to increase performance and efficiency within the plant. Manages various process improvement projects as required to meet performance targets.

- Performs circuit planning, power distribution and testing.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

- Bachelor's degree in electrical or automation engineering, or equivalent experience.

Experience:

- 5 years of experience in electrical or automation engineering in an industrial environment.

Job-Specific Knowledge and Skills:

- Proven ability to demonstrate leadership skills, mentoring and developing employees.

- Leadership experience is essential for this role.

- Must work safely and within all OHSA guidelines.

- Solid electrical troubleshooting and programming experience.

- Good computer skills (Microsoft suite of Products, word, excel, power point).

- Programming of plant electrical equipment; PLC, VFD, HMI, SCADA. Experience providing network support for SCADA, HMI's, Ethernet and fiber optics.

- Experience using FactoryTalk View and AB ControlLogix PLC.

- Experience in a maintenance role in a foundry/Heavy Industry type operation.

- Experience with laser level systems.
