Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Designer to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing detailed electrical system designs, creating accurate schematics, and supporting construction and system integration projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to innovative projects in a collaborative environment, utilizing advanced CAD tools and electrical engineering principles. Entry level Electrical designer, new grad welcome.

Duties

Perform detailed design work and Inspection work, including lighting, power distributions, substation design, communication systems, Fire Alarm for projects. Preparing engineering design drawings, layouts and specification including but not limited to Lighting, Single Line Diagrams, wiring diagrams, riser diagrams, protection systems, equipment lists, cable and panel schedules, emergency power distribution, etc.; Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure design accuracy and compliance with industry standards. Prepare construction documents and coordinate with contractors during installation phases. Application of codes and regulations to area of expertise and ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards; Reviews drawings to ensure completeness and accuracy; Assist in system design for electrical wiring, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and control panels. Performs changes, additions and/or revisions as required; Liaise/coordinate with clients, contractors, and authorities; Performs field review services during construction, entailing review of shop drawings, preparation of site instructions, change notices and inspections Participate in site visits and inspections to verify installation quality and troubleshoot design issues.

Skills

Electrical Engineering/Technologist background Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD experience, Revit software is preferred. Strong understanding of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and drafting standards. Experience with electrical engineering principles related to system design and construction. Knowledge of Basic Engineering calculation is preferred. Familiarity with electrical wiring practices, system integration, and construction processes. Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately. Strong interest in construction and in particular electrical and mechanical systems Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work with integrated teams of consultants and contractors; Demonstrated initiative, drive, leadership, communication, & interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects within a fast paced environment.

Pay: $40,000.00-$42,000.00 per year
