Rheaume Engineering Inc. (Rheaume) is seeking a full-time

Electrical Designer

to join our team, based in either our Grande Prairie or Calgary office.

Rheaume is an Alberta-based EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction management) firm, founded in 2005, with 40 staff members.

For engineering projects in industry sectors such as energy, mining, pulp & paper, and agriculture, Rheaume provides services in:

Project management and project controls

Design work within the following disciplines:

o Process

o Mechanical

o Civil

o Structural

o Electrical

o Instrumentation

o Controls

Procurement

Regulatory support

Construction management/support

Rheaume's specialty is oil & gas facility and pipeline design.

Role Description



Design electrical systems prepare 2D and 3D technical drawings

Prepare complete and accurate engineering drawing sets, including:

o Single line and wiring diagrams/schematics

o Heat-trace schedules, layouts, and isometrics

o Lighting panel schedules, equipment layouts, and area classifications

o 3D models, plot plans, P&IDs

Collaborate with and support project managers and engineers

Maintain accurate and organized drawing files within existing file structure

Manage assigned tasks and deadlines

Report to the Drafting Lead

Candidate Requirements



Must be currently residing in Alberta, Canada

Must have 3+ years of Western Canada EPC conventional oil and gas electrical design experience

Must have post-secondary CAD training - SAIT Engineering Design Drafting Technology diploma preferred.

Must have knowledge of CAD programs such as: AutoCAD, CADWorx, ProCAD or Navisworks

Experience with SmartPlant preferred

Compensation



Either employee or contractor status may be considered for this role
