Job Description

A machine manufacturer is looking for an Electrical Design Engineer. This will be a direct-hired and permanent position. The company values a strong ethic and working culture, and if you are looking for a stable and long-term career, this is a great opportunity!

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years engineering experience in either machinery or tooling manufacturing. The ability to program PLC/HMI for Mitsubishi and Omron will be very beneficial for this position.

Please Note: your electrical design engineer experience must have been completed in Canada.

Responsibilities:

Develop and design prototypes to meet customer specifications Work closely with Quality, Manufacturing, and Program Management to develop, manufacture, and design the products with an emphasis on performance, manufacturability, and testability Originate and refine existing designs including detailed design, tolerance studies, and selection of electronic components Prepare engineering specs, parts lists, estimates, and test/fabrication schedules Write engineering reports and assist in the preparation of technical proposals Create and execute testing plans Participate in and conducts design reviews, pre-production builds, debug, and product testing Conduct laboratory or field test experiments and investigations

Requirements:

Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or similar field is required At least 3 years of experience in working at a manufacturing environment Strong hands-on experience in practical design and prototyping of new product Excellent communication skills (Speaking, Reading, Writing) While performing the duties of this job, you may be required to type for extended periods throughout the day and intermittently sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk, and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision, as well as lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
