Seeking an Electrical Controls Technician to join our friendly and skilled team in the controls & automation field.

Responsibility/Duties:

Design 120v-600v branch circuits systems using variations of autoCAD

Design control systems using variations of autoCAD

Design safety systems using variations of autoCAD

Build small junction boxes and HMI enclosures

Build medium to large control panels for automation

New automation machine wiring such as sensors, motors, lights and valves

Troubleshoot and debug new and existing machines

Safety upgrades such as wiring safety PLCs, safety relays and safety switches

Provide IO tests and electrical startup support for onsite programmer

Candidate

Qualifications:

At least 2 years of electrical experience in the manufacturing & automation field preferred

Familiar with standard electrical design structures for automation

CAD experience preferred

Proficient with hand and power tools

Understands the concepts of single phase vs three phase systems

Familiarity with PLCs and programming software considered an asset

Education:

Engineering or technologist diploma or equivalent preferred.

Active 309A Apprentice or Journeyperson status considered an asset
