As an

Electrical Contract Administrator

, you will play a pivotal role in our projects, bringing your experience and expertise to the table to support our design team. Your responsibilities will involve conducting Construction Site Visits to ensure strict adherence to electrical design and plans. Additionally, you will be responsible for reviewing shop drawings and completing reports, further enhancing your skills and expertise.

Your Roles



Duties and Responsibilities:



- Ensure all site meetings are scheduled and conducted efficiently, with all shop drawings and reports submitted to clients and filed accurately. Perform regular construction site reviews to verify that contractor work aligns with Epp Siepman Engineering's design intent, specifications, and contract documents: Communicate lessons learned across all active and future projects.

- Ensure Client and Contractor satisfaction.

- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with contractors.

- Conduct timely and organized site meetings/reviews.

- Provide coaching, mentorship, and guidance to team members.

- Provide construction phase consulting services, including managing and responding to the following contract-related documentation:

o Shop Drawings

o Requests for Information (RFIs).

o Proposed Change Notices, Change Orders (COs), Change Directives (CDs).

o Contractor Progress Claims.

o Construction Site Meetings

o Commissioning-related tasks and reviews.

- Contribute to on-going development and improvement of construction administration standards, tools, and processes.

- Collaborate with engineers and designers to review specifications, drawings, and details during the design and working drawings phases.

- Work closely with the design team to deliver high-quality projects and ensure a positive, customer-focused experience throughout the construction period.

- Utilize internal tracking systems and computer-based communication tools effectively.

- Perform other duties as assigned.

Learning & Development:



- Staying current with industry trends and advancements by attending educational workshops and fostering personal networks.

- Playing an integral role in advancing technical and professional leadership within our firm.

Qualifications: Your Path to Success:



- Extensive relevant construction experience, journeyman electrician, and/or operations experience,

- Familiarity with electrical building design practices and commercial construction methods in a Canadian environment.

- Quality review of all sites and follow-up with strong report preparation

- Coordination with Design Team for all technical issues

- Excellent time management and organizational skills

- Can effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks

- Ability to identify potential risks and report them to the Project Managers

- Motivated and passionate about design and building systems.

- Strong general computer skills with the ability to learn new programs quickly.

- Ability to communicate effectively in construction and review meetings, both in person and online.

- Adaptable and able to pivot to meet on-demand requests on short notice.

- High school diploma.
