JOB DESCRIPTION

The Calibration Technician is responsible for completing general electrical, pressure, temperature, dimensional and physical calibration activities within the shop / lab, with a focus on quality and on-schedule delivery. The role requires the individual to have basic technical knowledge, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to safety.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Perform automated testing of electronic components or products. Work to precise specifications, processes and procedures in order to calibrate devices by comparing measurements of pressure, voltage, weight, temperature, torque or other environmental conditions to known standards. Read work orders, follow production drawings and receive verbal instructions in order to perform various electrical, dimensional and physical calibration duties. Perform product inspections using instruments and test equipment to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards. Conduct functional test and inspection of rental returns for proper operation including identifying misuse, damage and/or missing accessories. Collaborate with other staff with more complex calibration tasks. Provide technical assistance and support for troubleshooting issues related to calibration operations.

WHAT DO I NEED TO SUCCEED?

2-5 years of related experience with calibration. High school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of electrical, pressure, temperature, dimensional and physical processes and specifications. Familiarity with electronic and/or physical/dimensional test equipment Effective communication, including writing, speaking and interpersonal communication Quick problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities Attention to detail and ability to complete repetitive tasks accurately Good collaboration and teamwork abilities Capacity to offer suggestions on process improvement Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
