Overview

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated

Apprentice Electrician

to join our team at SmartWork Electrical. This position offers the perfect opportunity for individuals eager to gain hands-on experience in the electrical trade while working alongside experienced electricians. As an Apprentice Electrician, you will assist with a variety of electrical tasks on construction sites, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.

Responsibilities

Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in industrial and commercial settings. Work with experienced electricians to learn the proper use of hand tools and power tools, including ohmmeters and other testing equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to understand project requirements. Participate in low voltage and high voltage electrical installations under supervision. Follow National Electrical Code (NEC) guidelines to ensure all work is compliant with safety standards. Maintain a clean and organized work environment on construction sites. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.

Skills

Previous experience as an industrial or commercial electrician preferred. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment such as ohmmeters. Basic understanding of low voltage and high voltage systems. Knowledge of NEC regulations is preferred. Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately. Experience in construction site environments is beneficial. Skills in frame carpentry are a plus but not mandatory. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices on the job site. Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment while working as part of a team.

Pay: $18.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
