Job Overview:

We are seeking an

electrical apprentice

to join our maintenance team. As an Electrical Apprentice, you will be working under the supervision of a licensed electrician to learn and assist with various electrical installation, maintenance, and repair tasks. This hands-on role provides a structured opportunity to develop skills and knowledge required to become a fully licensed electrician. You will be exposed to a wide range of electrical systems and components, ensuring safe and efficient electrical operations in a manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist electricians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, circuits, and components. Learn to read and interpret electrical blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Perform electrical troubleshooting and diagnostics under supervision. Use hand tools, power tools, and electrical test equipment to carry out tasks safely. Participate in the safe and efficient installation of wiring, outlets, lighting, circuit breakers, and electrical panels. Assist in the installation and testing of electrical equipment and systems to ensure they meet code requirements. Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment. Maintain and clean tools and equipment used during electrical work. Document and report on tasks performed, as well as any issues that arise during the job. Attend related training sessions, apprenticeships, and workshops to further develop electrical skills and knowledge. Complete tasks assigned by the senior electrician/maintenance supervisor in a timely and effective manner. Follow all company and regulatory guidelines to ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.

Qualifications:

Completed at least 2 years of electrical schooling/hours. Physical ability to lift, move, and carry tools, equipment, and materials as needed Basic understanding of electrical theory and systems. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards. Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team. Good problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot electrical issues.
