Career Opportunity and Primary Roles / Responsibilities



We are seeking an Electric Engine Control Software Engineer to support the development and certification of a next-generation all-electrical aircraft with one of the world's leading electrical aircraft companies. We are looking for development &/or verification engineers The successful candidate will contribute to the certification of the aircraft to the highest civil aircraft standards, with a focus on rigorous testing and verification of the Electric Engine Control Software.

Key responsibilities include:



Develop C source code to existing software specifications that support certification and testing requirements. Participate in Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing of GNC software in support of civil certification efforts Develop and maintain automated test procedures in Python to validate software functionality and performance Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with certification requirements and system-level integration Support the creation and execution of detailed test plans, procedures, and reports Contribute to the continuous improvement of design & verification processes and tools Ensure traceability and rigor in all development & verification activities in alignment with DO-178C and other applicable standards

Required Competencies



Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field Minimum 5 years of experience in Electric Engine Control Software, preferably in aerospace. Relevant experience in the electrical automotive industry, medical device or other safety critical field will be considered Proficiency in Python is required for developing and maintaining automated test procedures. Proficiency in C is required for developing source code. Hands-on experience with HIL testing environments and embedded systems Familiarity with DO-178C or other software certification standards is an asset. A rigorous, process-driven approach and attention to detail are also valued. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Strong communication and teamwork abilities Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment

Miscellaneous Requirements



Work can be done remotely. For employees based in Montreal, the work model is hybrid (at least one day at the office). The position might require travel to visit customers (in North America)
Knowledge of English is required to communicate and work with customers outside the province of Quebec. / La connaissance de l'anglais est requise pour communiquer et travailler avec nos clients situes a l'exterieur de la province de Quebec.
