About the Role



We are seeking a skilled eLearning & Instructional Design Specialist to join our Learning and Development team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in designing and developing interactive learning content using modern tools such as Moodle, Articulate Storyline, Rise, and H5P, along with proficiency in multimedia editing using Adobe Creative Suite. You will play a critical role in creating compelling eLearning experiences and managing our LMS to ensure seamless integration and effective knowledge transfer to our learners, primarily employers and partners across BC. Key Responsibilities



Learning Content Design and Development

Design and develop interactive and engaging eLearning materials tailored for employers, using tools like Articulate Storyline, Rise, and H5P. Create multimedia content (videos, images, and interactive simulations) to enhance learning experiences. Apply instructional design principles to ensure that learning materials are effective, learner-centered, and aligned with organizational goals. Stay updated on best practices for online course design and emerging trends in digital learning tools.

Learning Management System (LMS) Management

Administer and maintain the organization's LMS (Moodle), ensuring content is well- organized, up-to-date, and accessible for users. Integrate various interactive elements and assessments into Moodle to enhance user engagement. Provide technical support and training to users to ensure effective use of the LMS platform. Manage course enrollments, track learner progress, and generate reports for analysis.

Multimedia and Digital Content Creation

Utilize Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Illustrator) to create and edit multimedia elements such as videos, graphics, and images. Collaborate with the team to develop multimedia resources that complement the learning objectives and foster a rich digital learning experience.

Instructional Design and Knowledge Transfer

Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather requirements and transform them into effective and engaging eLearning content. Ensure the instructional materials are accessible to diverse learners and meet the highest standards of instructional design. Apply knowledge management techniques to optimize the transfer and retention of knowledge.

Qualifications



Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, or a related field. Proven experience in designing and developing eLearning content using Articulate Storyline, Rise, H5P, or similar tools. Strong proficiency in managing and maintaining Learning Management Systems (Moodle) required. Experience with multimedia content creation and editing using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Illustrator). Excellent understanding of instructional design principles, learning theories, and adult learning practices. Strong project management, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
