Elderly Caregiver/ Personal Support Worker

Job Description
We are looking for a compassionate, reliable, and dependable caregiver to provide dedicated support to an elderly male individual with dementia and mobility issues in a home setting. The role focuses on enhancing quality of life through assistance with daily living activities, emotional companionship, and maintaining a safe and comfortable environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and preferences Administer and manage medications as directed Perform housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a tidying living space Offer companionship and engage in meaningful conversation and activities Monitor safety and respond appropriately to any health or mobility concerns Provide emotional support and foster a warm, respectful relationship
Schedule options:
1. Friday to Sunday Evenings
2. Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Qualifications
Experience in elderly care or personal support work PSW certification or equivalent (preferred) CPR and First Aid certification (preferred) Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills Ability to work independently and handle sensitive situations with discretion
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 - 30 per week
