Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Educator to join our team, in our private home for our child. As an Educator, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of our future generations. You will be responsible for providing a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for a gifted child, fostering their intellectual and social development.

Duties

:
- Teach core subjects - Reading, math, writing, geography, science (chemistry, physics, biology, coding, electronics), social studies from grade 3 to 4 level and up; languages, etc
- Creatively teaching lessons to stimulate motivation and joy of learning (beyond working in a workbook)
- Provide individualized attention and support to the gifted child
- Assess students' progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
- Collaborate with parent to ensure the best possible learning outcomes
- Utilize various teaching strategies and resources to engage students in the learning process - ie. visual schedule, effectively utilizing breaks, timers, etc
- Stay updated on current educational trends and research to continuously improve teaching practices

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
- Previous experience working with

neurodiverse

gifted children in an educational setting

- Teacher/student relation needs to come from a place of

connection

vs compliance, and come from a trauma-informed background

- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children

- A positive attitude who can motivate by teaching concepts in interesting, and possesses strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of educational theories, principles, and practices

- Must be reliable

Educate:

Ability to effectively convey information and knowledge to students using various teaching methods.

Teaching hours are ideally 9am to 4pm, Monday to Friday,

with some flexibility. May be open to some teaching opportunities on weekends for specializations.

This role is IDEAL for a university student, looking to enrich the life of a young and curious child, or a retired teacher.
