JOB TEXT:
Full time term position for Educational Psychologist. Duties to commence January 23, 2023 - June 23, 2023. As an Ed Psych you will be a part of school-based service delivery teams, responsible for the development, and support the implementation of interventions that promote the holistic development of students. Reporting to the Director of Student Services, you will provide leadership to school staff, service to students, conduct assessments, and participate in response planning for possible critical incidents/traumatic events. As part of the school\xe2\x80\x99s service delivery team, you will further the aims and objectives of NLESD and support improved educational opportunities through program support. Staff will engage a blended service delivery model encompassing both direct service and virtual services as required. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Standards of Practice provide an overarching framework of principles that describe the knowledge, skills and values that guide the professional practice of all educational psychologists in the Newfoundland and Labrador education system. They guide the development of yearly comprehensive work plans. They are not synonymous with the roles and responsibilities of educational psychologists, or expectations for specific practice in their day to day work. Standards of Practice guide professional judgment and actions, foster a common understanding of what it means to be a member of the profession, outline competencies expected and guide professional learning plans.
