Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Educational Assistant to join our team. As an Educational Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and students to provide support in the classroom. Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and educational activities
- Provide individualized attention and support to students with special needs
- Collaborate with teachers to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Assist students with assignments, projects, and homework
- Utilize math skills to help students understand and solve mathematical problems
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other staff members
- Use American Sign Language (ASL) to communicate with students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Monitor student behavior and maintain classroom discipline
- Support students during transitions between activities or locations within the school
- Assist in the preparation of classroom materials and resources

Requirements:
- Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Familiarity with special education strategies and techniques
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is highly desirable
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children
