Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Educational Assistant to join our team in supporting teachers and enhancing the learning experience for students. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education and a strong desire to work with children, including those with special needs. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to foster a positive learning environment.

Duties

Assist teachers in delivering instructional activities and managing classroom behaviour. Support students with diverse learning needs. Provide one-on-one or small group assistance to students in various subjects, including math and early childhood education. Help implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students requiring special education services. Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and parents to promote student success. Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment conducive to learning. Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills.

Requirements

Previous classroom experience or teaching background is preferred. Experience working with children, particularly those with special needs or disabilities. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. A genuine passion for helping students succeed academically and socially. Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
