Assignment
:Part-time 0.40 Educational Assistant position Tuesdays, and ThursdaysDuties to commence as soon as possible and will continue for the remainder of the 2025/2026 school year
To provide support and assistance to young children (Preschool, Kindergarten, Grade 1) in one-on-one and small group settings
Qualifications and/or Assets:
Experience working with young children would be considered an asset Ability to recognize and respond to children's emotional needs Ability to maintain a professional composure Excellent oral and written communication skills Work harmoniously with teachers and other support staff Willingness to attend Professional Development available by the division or to assist with the needs of the students Flexibility to work in a variety of programs and assigned duties Calm and patient approach to solving problems Reliability and eager to learn would be considered an asset Strong interpersonal skills and a positive personality Willingness to work collaboratively in a team-oriented learning environment Ability to demonstrate empathy, compassion, and patience Background and/or Experience and/or training as an Educational Assistant would be considered an asset
