Job Description
Assignment:
Full-time 1.0 Educational Assistant position Duties to commence as soon as possible and will continue for the remainder of the 2025/2026 school year To provide support and assistance to diverse students in a grade 4-6 classroom setting.
Qualifications and/or Assets:
Experience working with students with complex academic and behavioral needs Understanding of First Nations, Metis, and Inuit foundational knowledge Collaborative team player with the ability to take initiative and support a dynamic learning environment Experience and/or training as an Educational Assistant Strong interpersonal skills and a positive personality Knowledge, understanding and experience with ASD, ADHD and social, emotional and behavioral needs would be considered an asset Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills Flexibility in assigned duties, including personal hygiene and toileting Willingness to work collaboratively in a team-oriented collaborative learning environment Flexibility to work in a variety of programs
