Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Educational Assistant to support classroom teachers and enhance student learning experiences. This role involves working closely with students of diverse needs, to foster an inclusive and engaging educational environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, strong communication skills, and experience in early childhood education is an asset.

Duties

Assist classroom teachers in implementing lesson plans and educational activities Provide one-on-one or small group instruction to reinforce learning concepts Help manage classroom behaviour and promote positive social interactions Support students with math, reading, and other core subjects as directed by the teacher Assist in preparing instructional materials and classroom setup Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment conducive to learning and development

Qualifications

Prior classroom experience or experience working with children is an asset Knowledge of special education practices and working with individuals with disabilities is a plus Strong communication skills and patience when working with diverse learners Background in early childhood education or related fields is advantageous Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and adapt to various student needs Demonstrated enthusiasm for helping children succeed academically and socially

Pay: $17.65-$27.80 per hour
