Hi, I am Lisa, VP of Education at Musora Media! We are looking for a camera ready person to join us in leading PlayBass.



We're on the hunt for an

Education Lead

who lives and breathes bass. You'll team up with our VP of Education to create the ultimate online experience for bass players--from crafting killer curriculum and lesson scripts to producing content that grooves as hard as a funk line. You'll also be the heartbeat of our bass community, making sure every member feels supported, inspired, and totally in tune with the brand.

Key Duties & Responsibilities





Curriculum development for the assigned brand, that support our goals. + Create up to 12 courses per year that result in meeting registration goals. This will involve working with both artists and educators.
+ Increase the average start rates of new content.
+ Ideate and host a weekly or monthly members live stream.
+ Create annual short-form educational videos that address student needs.
+ Release monthly practice-along videos/workouts.
Content Creation + Assist with the creation of content through pre-production documentation, pre-production meetings, asset gathering/management, and/or filming content yourself.
+ Pre-video production alignment through coordinating bookings/studio scheduling and using Asana boards.
+ Assist with asset creation in terms of sheet music, descriptions, and musical accompaniments.
+ Assist with artist relations by joining artist planning calls and pre-production meetings.
+ Assist with film shoots through producing, scripting, logistics, transportation, and more.
+ Assist with non-production projects through asset management, discovery, quality assurance, corrections, and proofing.
Improve and support the student experience + Ensuring song releases meet the needs of our students.
+ Responding to questions and noting opportunities for improvement.
+ Establishing best practices for the best possible student experience.
+ Moderator (MOD) Management, including student interactions e.g. comments. forums, practice, plans, etc.
+ Collaborating with our onboarding and student experience teams to ensure our students' first experience is seamless.
+ Increasing engagement (comments) on our forums and Facebook page by 30%.
+ Work with the product team to ensure our product and it's features align with our student and content needs.
+ Leverage AI to support connecting & supporting our students.
Project Management + Assist the VP, Education and ensure all projects run smoothly.
+ Strategize & collaborate with the brand team to ensure educational releases align with promotions and public-facing content. We want to weave a common thread between media, marketing, and education.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise





5+ years of experience playing and developing bass 5+ years of teaching experience with a background in music education and knowledge of current/past pedagogy Music theory knowledge, with the ability to write, read, and proof notation/sheet music Proficiency in the English language (written and verbal) Excited and comfortable being on screen to film lessons/videos
Skills, Abilities and Other AttributesAbility to exhibit the Company's Core Values: Empathy, Passion, and Grit. Key understanding of data management and collaboration through Google Docs, spreadsheets, Google Drive, and more Excellent writing and communication skills, with particular attention to spelling and grammar Interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and manage talent in the studio Deep understanding of the bass as it relates to the brand Deep understanding of modern social media, trends, and behaviours (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat, etc.) Resourceful and able to research, and find the right people and tools to achieve results A Growth Mindset and willingness to learn new skills, a continuous learner
