Job Description

Be part of a team in one of Canada's largest living history museums and use your skills of teaching, engagement and storytelling to share your passion for history.
What will you do?

  • Plan and lead a variety of pre-registered educational programs for schools, groups, day camps, birthday parties and courses
  • Lead activities for special events at facilities
  • Assist in program research and development
  • Assist in the delivery of public interpretation services
  • Assist in the maintenance of artifacts and program supplies
  • Work evenings and weekends and conduct other related duties as required
Qualifications
  • Completion of Grade 12
Skills required for success:
  • Experience working with the general public, tour groups, children and other program users
  • Highly developed communication skills
  • Ability to lead, organize, instruct and supervise programs
  • Basic knowledge of Western Canadian History

Conditions of Employment:
  • Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Certificates are required prior to employment
  • Hire is dependent upon a Police Information Check including Vulnerable Sector check satisfactory to the City of Edmonton and is a requirement of this position, there may be a cost associated with this requirement

Up to 15 temporary part-time ongoing positions
Hours of work: 0-39 hours per week depending on need

Salary Range: $21.280 - $25.420 (Hourly)
