The Education Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring the smooth daily operations of Scholars of Edmonton South. This position involves administrative support, customer service, scheduling, and coordination between staff, students, and parents. The ideal candidate is organized, communicative, and passionate about education.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative & Operational:
Greet students and families, answer phones, and respond to inquiries with professionalism and warmth.

Schedule tutoring sessions and coordinate tutor availability using center management tools.
Maintain accurate student records, manage payments, and ensure proper documentation.
Support tutors with onboarding, scheduling, and classroom setup.
Ensure the learning center is clean, safe, and organized.
Customer Service & Communication:
Act as a primary point of contact for families and tutors.
Provide updates to parents regarding student progress and center activities.
Help resolve concerns or escalate issues to the Center Director as needed.
Marketing & Community Engagement:
Support local marketing initiatives by promoting services both online and offline.
Plan and attend community events (e.g., school fairs, local festivals) to represent the Scholars brand.
Set up and manage booths at local events to engage with families and promote center programs.
Build relationships with local schools, community centers, and organizations to boost visibility.
Assist with social media content, promotional campaigns, and open house events.
Qualifications:
High school diploma required; post-secondary education preferred.
Experience in a customer service or administrative role (preferably in an educational setting).
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort with scheduling software.
Friendly, professional demeanor and a passion for working with families and educators.
Previous experience working with students is an asset.
Excellent English oral and written skills.
A passion to help students reach their potential.
Ability to teach groups of up to 3 students.
Must be able to teach math or science up to grade 12, including the following subjects: Advanced Functions, Calculus and Vectors, Data Management, Physics, Biology, and Chemistry.
Working Conditions:
Must be available for after-school and evening hours.
Light lifting of educational materials may be required.
Work is primarily indoors in a fast-paced learning center environment.
Candidates must be able to work a minimum of two shifts per week within our hours of operation below.
