Education Coordinator
, where you'll lead our
alternative education program
and help shape learning experiences that meet students where they are.
This role is ideal for someone who wants to
break out of traditional classroom walls
and make a meaningful impact on youth through flexible, individualized, and community-based education.
What You'll Do
?
Lead our Alternative Education Program
Deliver small-group and individualized instruction to students from Grades 8-12 who benefit from a non-traditional approach to school.
?
Teach Core Subjects
Support learning in
Math and English Language Arts up to Grade 12
using creative, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive strategies.
?
Develop Programming
Design and implement engaging academic and life-skills programming that supports students' personal growth and academic success.
?
Collaborate and Connect
Work closely with youth workers, families, and local schools to build a supportive learning environment. Liaise with school districts and community partners.
?
Track Progress
Monitor student attendance, engagement, and achievement. Provide regular reports and contribute to individualized learning plans.
Who We're Looking For

Experienced Educators
who are ready to bring energy, compassion, and creativity to a flexible, community-based teaching environment.
? A strong background in
Math and English Language Arts up to Grade 12
.
? Skilled in building positive relationships with youth who may be disengaged from school.
? Adaptable, patient, and solution-focused -- able to shift gears and meet students' evolving needs.
? Committed to equity, inclusion, and trauma-informed practice.
? Comfortable working independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Minimum Qualifications
?
Bachelor of Education
or equivalent teaching certification (or) At least
2 years of teaching experience
? Strong subject knowledge in
Math and English Language Arts (Grades 8-12)
? Experience working with youth from diverse backgrounds
