Heritage Christian Online School (HCOS) is a thriving online learning community offering K-12 home and online education to students across the province. HCOS provides flexible solutions and programming tailored to every child's learning journey. HCOS Education Assistants are independent contractors who are resourceful and innovative educators, providing student support to Home Learners within the Inclusive Education Department.

Summary

We are looking for dynamic Education Assistants to work in our one day a week, onsite Victoria location called Community Connection, in a classroom setting. We have two openings for

in-class Education

Assistants for the 2025/26 school year.

Additional hours supporting students at home may be available.

Tuesdays: 9:15 am - 3:15 pm Grades 5-7, 8-9

Duties & Responsibilities

As an Education Assistant, your duties and responsibilities will include:

Support executive functioning and self-regulation Support academics (i.e., Science, SS, Art) Work collaboratively within the classroom ??Provide the social, spiritual, and academic learning needs of students, providing mentorship to the whole person ??Support IEP goals

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $23.19-$28.73 per hour

Expected hours: 7 - 15 per week
