Heritage Christian Online School (HCOS) is a thriving learning community offering K-12 home, in-class and online education to students across the province of BC. HCOS provides flexible solutions and programming tailored to every child's learning journey. HCOS Education Assistants are independent contractors who are resourceful and innovative educators, providing student support to Home Learners within the Inclusive Education Department.

Summary

We are looking for a part-time Education Assistant who has a desire to learn and grow in knowledge of supporting a

grade 11

student in

100 Mile House, BC

for

15 hrs/week

during the 2025/26 school year.

Specific training working with students with diverse abilities, such as an Education Assistant certificate (or equivalent), is preferred.

Responsibilities

As an Education Assistant, your duties and responsibilities with this student will include:

Supporting life skills with some soft academics, such as letter recognition and shared reading Communicating effectively with a student who is mostly nonverbal ??Contributing to the social, spiritual, and academic growth of the student, providing mentorship to the whole person ??Assisting in carrying out IEP goals, working alongside the broader student support team

Pay: $23.97-$28.13 per hour

Expected hours: 15 per week
