Education Assistant - 1.0 FTE
About Us:
Sts'ailes Community School is located within the traditional territory of the Sts'ailes People, near Harrison Mills, BC. Our K-12 school is a fully BC accredited First Nations school with around 200 students.
Sts'ailes Community School inspires and empowers students to explore their cultural, academic and social-emotional world and to strive for their personal best while becoming happy, respectful, responsible and confident community leaders.
Requirements:
Completion of grade 12 (or equivalent).
Have a Education Assistant certificate (or related certification).
A valid criminal record check (vulnerable sector).
Have a valid BC driver's license and own transportation.
Minimum of 1 year experience working with children with exceptionalities
Assets:
Experience using a restitution-based approach with student discipline.
Professional development and experience in Trauma-Informed Care.
Experience working in or with a First Nations community or in Indigenous education.
