The opportunity:

We are seeking talented and energetic candidates to join our Advisory, Management Consulting team as a Full Time Consultant/Senior Consultant working in our Edmonton practice starting in Summer (May) 2023 and Fall (September) 2023 . Positions are available for our Operations - Public Sector Practice.

What you will do

Operations

The Operations team at KPMG supports clients in the Public Sector with a range of services: strategic planning, growth & omni-channel strategy, Target Operating Model (TOM) design, process improvement/redesign, and cost optimization/value realization. As part of the Operations team, you will help clients perform current state assessments/diagnostics, visioning/target state design as well as develop roadmaps and support implementation.

What you bring to the role

FOR CONSULTANT LEVEL:

• You are enrolled in a university degree program (we will be considering candidates from a spectrum of programs such as Political Science, Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Commerce, Economics, Arts, etc.). Candidates graduating between December 2022 and August 2023 should apply.
• You are a highly motivated individual, enthusiastic about taking on a variety of challenges and opportunities
• You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• You have a strong academic record
• You have the ability to work independently without supervision
• You have strong problem solving and analytical abilities, as well as a proven track record of successfully dealing with competing priorities and deadlines under pressure
• You have a strong sense of personal accountability
• You have an entrepreneurial drive, and are a creative problem solver

FOR SENIOR CONSULTANT LEVEL:

Senior Consultants usually join Management Consulting with significant work experience, coming from an MBA, PhD, MD, JD or other advanced degree program . Senior Consultant are expected to be able to come into the Management Consulting team and immediately make a significant impact. Those coming from undergraduate degrees or master\'s degrees with less than 2 years\' work experience should consider applying for the Consultant position .

• You have a bachelor\'s degree from an accredited college/university in a relevant field. Candidates graduating between December 2022 and August 2023 should apply .
• You are a highly motivated individual, enthusiastic about taking on a variety of challenges and opportunities
• You have strong interpersonal skills and professional maturity; demonstrated ability to effectively interact and build relationships with a diverse group of clients and colleagues
• You have strong problem solving and analytical abilities, as well as a proven track record of successfully dealing with competing priorities and deadlines under pressure
• You have an entrepreneurial drive, and are a creative problem solver
• You have a strong academic record from your undergraduate or master\'s degree
• You are able to support general project management and oversee the planning, scheduling and completion of objectives and engagements, asset development and other initiatives.
