- Operate Wire EDM efficiently
- Complete scheduled preventative maintenance on machinery and keep fully detailed documentation for future reference
- Answer direct EDM/CNC inquiries.
- Provide instruction, training and guidance to employees as requested (apprentices, new employees)
- Ensure quality performance and completion of work assignments for on time delivery in a cost-efficient manner
- Organize and keep updated EDM/CNC programs and CAD files
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables.
- Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance.
- Verify dimensions of machined tools and parts using precision measuring instruments
- Maintain equipment and work area in a clean or orderly condition
- Perform job duties in a safe manner according to Company policy and procedures
- Must have 3 years hands on experience in operating and programming CNC/EDM equipment
- Tool and Progressive Die Building and design experience is an asset
- Completion of Mechanical Technical Diploma or Equivalent 3 years hands on experience in operating and programming
- Experience with Mastercam and AutoCAD would be preferred
- Knowledge of machining, machine tools and measuring equipment
- Must be able to work with minimal supervisory oversight, and work both independently and within a team environment
- Candidate must have strong math skills and be very detailed oriented
- Reliable transportation is required
